I’ve been working as an online Spanish and Catalan tutor for a few years now, helping foreign students of all levels and ages achieve great results. My Spanish pronunciation is neutral, and the same goes for my Catalan. When I was at the university, I started volunteering for some NGOs where I was teaching Spanish and Catalan. I was offering lessons to people who had recently arrived in Spain and I introduced them to the local culture and our way of living. Since then I’ve realised teaching is my true passion. I do not have any teaching materials (workbooks or exercise books). Any readings we do in class, the student should find for themselves. But working with me (a native speaker) will help you improve your speaking, writing and reading skills in an informal and casual way!

Recent TEFL graduate who also speaks Spanish and Catalan I did some volunteering for a couple of months helping immigrants learn English, but this would be my first time teaching English online and I am looking forward to this challenge. Also, I have a degree with the Open University that I took while I was living in Belfast, where I stayed for 4 years. Even though I do not have that much experience teaching, I have had to train people in other areas in other jobs that I have had, which I hope helps me to teach in this platform.

Me considero una profesora muy empática, ya que creo que esta es la única forma de poder implementar una metodología personalizada. Procuro transmitir a mis estudiantes la confianza necesaria para que se atrevan a iniciarse y, posteriormente, perfeccionarse en la comunicación a través de un idioma que no es su lengua materna. Parto siempre del nivel que tiene cada persona y tengo muy en cuenta sus objetivos, ya que algunos estudiantes sólo quieren superar unas pruebas de idiomas y otros están interesados en aprender la lengua con fines comunicativos o para conocer mejor una cultura concreta.

Soy ameno, flexible, amable y empático. Me adapto a las necesidades del estudiante y sé escuchar para proveer un mejor servicio. Me gusta preparar materiales y hacer la clase bastante interactiva para que el estudiante gane confianza y pueda dominar el idioma. I am easy going, gentle and empathetic. I like to prepare different materials and make the class interactive so that the student can gain self-confidence and improve with the language.
