The excitement would become the fuel for their progress, especially on the long term. I'm also amazed by how children learn their native language. They go from absolute zero to a native speaker in a very short amount of time. But what’s most surprising to me is this: We don’t even have to explain grammar to children explicitly, yet they absorb these patterns naturally, intuitively over time.

Probably the most efficient way to learn Latin & Greek I have been teaching spoken Latin & Greek at iTalki for more than three years now, and have taught Latin at a number of institutions in the past. I also provide images, short stories and flashcards in my classes which my students are free to use and adapt.

During my lessons, I prefer to use online resources, such as short articles and videos, but if you have suggestions for other materials you would like to use, we can use those as well. I am a relaxt teacher and very aware about the difilculties of my language. So I am patient with you but as well I expect you do do your homework and study in your own time. Dutch is a language your not going to learn only by taking some classes. You need to practice a lot and to be motivated. I like to make jokes and laugh and after a couple of classes I will interview you every class about what you have done since the last time we've seen each other so you are prepared for the real Dutch live (we always want to know everything from everybody).
