I chose Victor because of his specific DELE examiner experience and it was invaluable! He gave great guidance on what to expect on test day. We worked through several timed mock exam exercises of the speaking portion as if it was test day. After, he gave me step by step feedback and corrections. I would highly recommend Victor as a tutor and especially if you're preparing for a DELE exam!

I couldn't recommend David enough. He is fantastic! He tailors classes to your individual goals and creates a very relaxed, natural learning environment. He is very encouraging and supportive. Since starting his classes I feel I am making real progress, particularly in my speaking but also in my confidence to speak Spanish. I no longer worry about making mistakes and have found I am learning faster and making more progress, all thanks to David! For anyone who values a friendly, genuine, easy-going teacher and calm, enjoyable classes, I'd pick David without hesitation

Carolina is wonderful. I want to work on answering phone calls in Spanish and she had slides with common phrases and cultural variants for different countries and has set up role plays. Exactly what I needed. You can tell she listens to your needs and plans things to suit your specific learning goals. She is also warm and welcoming and makes you feel at ease while learning and practicing.

I really enjoyed my lesson with Gibran. He has a great sense of humor and makes conversation feel relaxed and natural. I especially appreciate learning the Mexican Spanish that people actually use in everyday conversation, including natural expressions and ways of saying things that you don’t usually learn from formal classes. He listens carefully, gives helpful corrections, and explains things clearly when I have questions. He’s friendly, patient, and easy to talk to, and I look forward to our next lesson. I highly recommend him, especially to anyone who wants to improve their conversational Spanish and learn more natural Mexican Spanish.

Wow, that was fantastic!! I told her before the lesson that I had a lot of problems with situations where I had learned the grammar rules but couldn't remember them fast enough while I was talking and made frequent mistakes. During the lesson, she asked me questions where I would answer using different tenses. Then we watched some videos, and she would hit pause during the video to ask me questions about what had just happened or what someone had said, and have me answer in different tenses (present tense for the first video, past tense for the second). She also managed to work in a few situations where I could use the future or the subjunctive. She was patient and waited when I was struggling to find words, but also knew when I was struggling too much and needed a hint. By the end of the lesson she had a pretty thorough picture of my grammatical strengths/weaknesses and had a plan for where we would start in our next lesson. GREAT first lesson!!

Had a full thirty minute conversation in Spanish, something I wasn’t able to do a couple months ago. Very fun and exciting.

I’ve been having classes with Marta for over a year now and can’t recommend her enough. I’ve had many Spanish teachers over the years and almost never leave reviews, but Marta is genuinely exceptional. She’s very personable and easy to talk to, so the classes always feel natural and enjoyable, but I’ve also learned a huge amount from her. She’s played a big part in improving my Spanish and I’d recommend her without thinking twice.

Joaquín and I just had our first class of Spanish Literature Conversation together. I am an intermediate level student, and this is exactly what I think I need to progress. We read a few short stories / tales and then deeply analyzed the vocabulary, the metaphors, the grammar structures, and the meaning one paragraph at a time. This is truly a great way, not only to improve reading comprehension, but to improve overall Spanish abilities using comprehensible input. Highly recommended, especially if you are at the intermediate plateau!!

Josue is an exceptional Spanish teacher. During each of of our classes, I have found him to be thoughtful, attentive, and he also has a great sense of when to correct me or introduce a new concept without interrupting the natural flow of conversation. I especially appreciate how organized he is. During each lesson, he keeps track of the grammar, vocabulary, and concepts we cover, then spends the last few minutes reviewing them with me. It’s a simple approach, but it makes a big difference in helping me retain what I’ve learned during each session. Josue is also genuinely kind and easy to talk to. I never feel intimidated or self-conscious about making mistakes. Instead, his encouragement motivates me to keep improving and reminds me why I’m learning Spanish in the first place: to communicate with others and better understand the culture.
