To become calm or stable in life or a situation.

A: Are you planning to settle down soon?
B: Maybe in a few years. I'm enjoying the adventure for now.

Jordan: I heard Mike blew up over the deadline issues.
Riley: But they managed to turn the situation around, right?
Jordan: Exactly, everything's under control now. They're hoping things will settle down by tomorrow.
