One of my hobbies is a car. I would like to think that I always try to look it pretty well to maintain it for long time. I came across an interesting article about "Driver's Habit" online and would like to share it here. The article says that there is a driver's bad habit which deteriorates your beloved car without noticing it. 1) No interest in weird noise from a engine or a transmission: Might want to take your car to the mechanic to prevent some troubles from occurring. 2) Fill up your car with a gas after a low fuel warning light turns on. Impurities pile up in the tank and create deposits at the bottom of tank while your car stops. They can go into a fuel pump and a filer. 3) Way too full of gas: Significant damage can be done to fuel evaporation gas control devices. 4) Too much braking work: If you use brake too often, that can wear out brake pads and disks quickly. Might want to make the most of engine brake with a low-speed gear if possible. 5) Sudden braking and starting: This increases a risk of accidents. Sudden starting makes your car eat a lot of gas and sudden braking gives an excess load on braking system. The point is that the car lifespan has a strong dependence on driver's habit. Hence, you can maintain your beloved car for a long time by improve your wrong driver's habit. I thought I also needed to alter my habit as a driver.

It was overcast today. Mom brought back a delivery of computer parts this morning. It turned out Dad is upgrading his computer. No wonder he looked so excited lately! I don’t know much about assembling hardware; plugging in the right cords to the right slots is my limit. But my dad knows a lot about those circuit boards. I never understand why such things are so costly. In short, Dad is a bit of a nerdy and geeky when it comes to hard drives, graphics, and games. He can blabber nonstop about them.
