Hi! I've learned that prepositional phrases can change their meaning depending on the preposition, like "get away" and "get through." The most challenging part is that one phrase can have many different meanings, like "get off." If I want to master them—not just for passing a test, but to truly understand and use them in daily life—what study method would you recommend? 🙏
I know there are some books for learning English phrases (which are more like vocabulary books) available, but it's really hard to study effectively with those materials. 🥺

Hi! What is the meaning of "shave" in this sentence? It doesn't match the meaning I have known, and I'm also questioned about its form - as "launched" in the latter part is applying a past form, so the word "shave" looks very unusual 😨😨
"Some government shave forbidden cigarette commercials and launched anti-smoking campaigns."

Hey everyone! I think my German Textbook has a mistake in its correction because it says the correct form of the verb in the following sentence is "fotografiert". Can anyone tell me if it's actually right?
Otto nimmt seinen Fotoapparat mit, weil er gern fotografiert.
I thought the correct form was "fotografieren"
