みなさんはこの短歌を知っていますか？短歌とは31の音で作られる詩のことです。
これは歌人の俵万智（たわらまち）さんという方が35年前に作ったものです。
なんでもない１日が、誰かのひとことで記念日になる、というのはすてきですね。
ちなみにFacebookで”like”ボタンを押すことを日本では「いいね」すると言います。

みなさんはトルコの飲み物といえば何か思い出しますか？
日本人にとってはたぶんトルココーヒーのイメージが強いです。
テレビなどの影響かもしれません。


実際にトルコに来ると、思っていた感じと違います。
トルコの人は毎日トルココーヒーではなくて、トルコの紅茶、チャイをのみます。

みんなが毎日、チャイを飲んでいます。
カフェに行けば、ほとんどの人が会話を楽しんでいます。
そのテーブルにはチャイがあります。

コーヒー、ラテは飲んでいる人は少ないです。
トルココーヒーを飲んでいる人はもっと少なくです。
トルココーヒーは完全に観光客向けのような感じです。

実はデータ上でもトルコは紅茶の国です。
お茶の消費量が世界一だそうです。
だいたい1人あたり1日に5杯ほど飲むそうです。
昨日トルコ人から聞いた話では、その人は毎日30杯！ものチャイを飲むそうです。

彼はチャイを飲むとリラックスできるよ、と言っていました。

日本人にとってのお茶はそのような存在とは少し変わってきたような気がします。

トルコのチャイが根づいているのを見て、そんなことを感じました。
