Case Masterclass: -e and -ne — The Object Marker | Spoken Malayalam #046
說明
In English, word order tells you who did what: "Anu called Amma" is not "Amma called Anu". English speakers translate directly, keep English order and forget the ending, so they say "njaan amma vilichu", which sounds like "I, Amma, called". Malayalam marks the person who receives the action with a small tail, -e.
In this episode:
• The big rule: people and animals get -e
• The shapes: -e, -ye, -ne, -ine, -vine
• Pronouns as objects
• Animals at home
• One ending, a different meaning
• An invented scene: who called whom?
• Language bridge
• Practice
• Self-check questions with answers
