If we want to develop lasting relationships with students and relate to them in meaningful ways, we must get to know them as unique individuals. みなさんは「できる」の意味を知っていますか？「できる」には英語のcanという意味があります。しかし、「ジブリパークができる」の「できる」は新しく建てられる、またはオープンするという意味です。ちなみにジブリパークは今年の11月1日にできるそうなので、興味がある人はインターネットで調べてみてください。

この「できる」を使って「近くに新しいコンビニができるらしいよ」とか、「高速道路ができてとても便利になった」と言うこともできます。

では、「友達ができた」というのはどういう意味でしょうか。これは新しく友達になった人がいるという意味です。「彼氏ができた」「彼女ができた」と言うフレーズはよく使います。
また、「ニキビができる」「ほくろができる」というのはあまりうれしくないことですね。これはニキビやほくろが新しく出てきたという意味です。

「できる」という表現は会話の中でとてもよく使います。ここで説明した以外の意味もありますが、それは次回説明したいと思います。

If you listen to how i talked about and described the movie, you should be able to notice that i did not go into much detail on what the movie was about. This can be a very difficult thing to do in any language, and can also lead to problems with cohesion which will of course lower your band score. This is an example of where you need to learn to talk around topics, and remember that part 2 is still about you.
