خسته نباشید (Khaste nabâshid)
說明
خسته نباشید
Khaste nabâshid
Meaning:
Literally: “May you not be tired.”
But we use it to say “Well done,” “Good job,” or simply to show appreciation for someone's work.
💬 Examples:
👩💼 At work:
خسته نباشید
Khaste nabâshid!
→ Good job!
☕ When someone has been working for a long time:
خسته نباشید، خیلی زحمت کشیدید.
Khaste nabâshid, kheili zahmat keshidid.
→ You worked really hard. Thank you!
👨🏫 After a class:
خسته نباشید استاد!
Khaste nabâshid ostâd!
→ Thank you, teacher!
🔑 Cultural note:
“خسته نباشید” is a very common and uniquely Persian way of showing respect and appreciation for someone's effort.
✨ Try it!
How would you say “Good job!” to someone who has just finished cooking?
