Everyday Slang I: Friends and Young People | Spoken Malayalam #084
說明
Listen to Kerala teenagers or young cousins and you will hear words no textbook teaches: adipoli, kidu, scene, machaan. Slang means informal words used mostly among friends and peers. If you only know formal words, you will miss half the jokes at a family gathering.
In this episode:
• Praise: adipoli, kidu, polichu
• Calling your friends
• Scene, chumma and thallu
• Waiting and surprise
• Register: who can you say it to?
• An invented scene: cousins after a match
• Language bridge
• Practice
• Self-check questions with answers
