कपड़े की दुकान (kapde ki dukaan) – clothes shop
रेडीमेड (readymade) – ready-to-wear
नाप दे दीजिए (naap de deejiye) – give your measurements
तंग (tang) – tight
थोड़ा ढीला कर दो (thoda dheela kar do) – let it out a bit
छोटा कर दो (chhota kar do) – take it in, shorten it
लंबाई कम करो (lambaai kam karo) – shorten the length
पूरी आस्तीन (poori aasteen) – full sleeves
आधी आस्तीन (aadhi aasteen) – half sleeves
हुक (hook) – hook fastening
पहनकर देखूँ? (pehenkar dekhoon) – may I try it on?
ट्रायल रूम (trial room) – fitting room
फ़िट है (fit hai) – it fits
जँच रहा है (janch raha hai) – it suits you
अच्छा लग रहा है (achha lag raha hai) – it looks nice
रंग पक्का है? (rang pakka hai) – is the colour fast?
रंग उतरता है (rang utarta hai) – the colour runs
सूती कपड़ा (sooti kapda) – cotton cloth
रेशमी कपड़ा (reshmi kapda) – silk cloth
खादी (khaadi) – handspun cotton
लिनन (linen) – linen
जींस (jeans) – jeans
डेनिम (denim) – denim
मीटर से (meter se) – by the metre
दो मीटर कपड़ा (do meter kapda) – two metres of cloth
थान (thaan) – bolt of cloth
नमूना (namoona) – sample, swatch
डिज़ाइन (design) – design, pattern
छपाई (chhapaai) – print, printing
बंधेज (bandhej) – tie-dye
सलवार कमीज़ (salwaar kameez) – tunic and trousers
कुर्ता-पायजामा (kurta-paayjaama) – long shirt and drawstring trousers
लहँगा (lehnga) – long flared skirt
टाई (tie) – tie
मोज़े (moze) – socks
जूतों की दुकान (jooton ki dukaan) – shoe shop
पैर का नाप (pair ka naap) – shoe size
काटता है (kaatta hai) – it pinches — of a shoe
आरामदायक (aaraamdaayak) – comfortable
टिकाऊ (tikaau) – durable
बढ़िया क्वालिटी (badhiya quality) – good quality
नक़ली (nakli) – fake
ब्रांडेड (branded) – branded
