意味は、きそう、あらそう、などがあります。

例えば、

・競争ーきょうそう　勝ち負けを競うこと

・争点ーそうてん　争う点

・論争ーろんそう　言い争うこと

・戦争ーせんそう　国どうしで武力を使って争うこと



こんな感じですね。
これを使って例文を作っていきましょう！

・彼とはいつも競争してきたから負けたくない

・この問題は論争を巻き起こしている
