おはようございます！
Japanese daily life podcast のAtsushiです。
このPodcastは、日本語を勉強しているみなさんに向けたPodcastです。

今日も、アメリカの旅行について話します。
今回で、アメリカ旅行の話はラストです。

さてさて、ロサンゼルスからラスベガスへ移動して、楽しんだ翌日にグランドキャニオンへ行くプランにしていたので、めっちゃ楽しみにしていました。

グランドキャニオンをセスナ、小さい飛行機に乗って上から見る、というサービスを予約していたんですね。これは天候がとても重要で、前日まではどうなるかわかりませんでした。ロサンゼルスにいた時は天気は良かったんですけど、ラスベガスの時はあんまり天気が良くなかったんですね。それでどうなるか心配でした。

そして、夜が明けて、翌朝。
結局、天候は回復せず、グランドキャニオンへのツアーが中止になりました。風が強かったので、危険だったみたいですね。それで中止になりました。セスナがある場所まで車で移動したんですけど、結局、乗れなかったので、そのまままたラスベガスへとんぼ返りしました。で、何をしようか、となったんです。で、前回も少し話しましたが、いろんなホテルがあって、ホテルによっては、ホテルの前に大きな噴水や、火山のようなものがあって、そこが決まった時間にショーがあるんですね。それを見て回る人も多いんですね。それを見ようと思って、時間とか、ショーの開催とか確認すると、これも風が強いと中止になるみたいなんですね。それで、結局、ほとんど何もできなかった、という記憶があります。

たぶん、ないなりに何かしたとは思うんですけど、予定通り行かなかった、ということの方が記憶に大きく残っているんですね。

バスケットを見たり、ラスベガスのビッグショットという、めっちゃおもしろいアトラクションに乗ったりした最高の経験をした一方、1番楽しみにしていたグランドキャニオンには行けなかったという、残念な経験もあり、本当にいろんなことを感じた卒業旅行でした。

大学生ながらに、思い通りにいかないことがこれからもたくさんあることをこの旅行で実感したことを覚えています。もちろん、楽しい記憶もたくさんありますが、そんなふうにいろんな感情を持って帰った旅行でした。

はい、ということで、長くなりましたが、僕のアメリカ旅行の話は以上です。



20年以上前の旅行ですが、これだけ覚えていることに自分で驚きました。当時の自分には新鮮な出来事ばかりだったんだろうなと思います。

旅行はやっぱり良いですね！
