The winter vacation for Chinese students is coming to an end. It seems that it’s hard for kids to switch their "channel (频道 pín dào)" from holiday mode back to study mode. I totally empathize with them! Actually, it's not just kids. Whether it's big goals like work and study, or small routines like reading and exercising, all good habits with long-term benefits share one thing in common: Starting is the hardest part. But here is the logic: once you start, "Inertia" (惯性 guàn xìng) will push you forward. You will get used to the rhythm and even feel comfortable in it. However, if you stop for too long, starting again will still cost you a lot of energy. So, my advice is: Don't think too much, just take the first small step! What is the hardest thing for you to start?
