Is there any difference if I say "throw out the garbage" and "throw away the garbage"? ¿Garbage or trash?

Something you don’t want can be ‘thrown away’ or ‘thrown out’ by putting it in the ‘trash’ [as Americans say ; in England it is usually called ‘rubbish’ ]. When the ‘trash can’, ‘garbage can’ or ‘rubbish bin’ is full, it is taken out for the contents to be ‘thrown out’.
