Hey everyone! I'm new to this platform, and I'm currently studying English by reading books such as comics. And a very common doubt that troubles me a lot is about phrasal verbs. Most of the time, I have to stop my reading to research the meaning of some phrasal verb that I've never seen. So, having said all that, I would like to ask you how can I study or maybe practice to understand phrasal verbs more often? My thanks in advance to you all!

I use chatgpt AI to study things like that. Tell AI you want a list of phrasal verbs.

Hi Gabriel, I'm a certified English Teacher with 8 years' experience, and I can tell you there is no exact way to learn (or teach) phrasal verbs, other than memorise them! It's very frustrating and pretty much all students feel exactly the same way as you, so don't worry. I recommend looking up phrasal verbs related to specific everyday topics, such as 'travel', 'sport' or 'work meetings' and memorise a few which seem the most useful to you. This is how I teach them to my students and they've told me it's really helpful!
