Today is Tanabata, a traditional Japanese festival. On this day, people write their wishes on colourful strips of paper and pray that their dreams will come true. Whenever Tanabata comes around, I always feel that summer has begun. However, Japan is very humid at this time of year. I really want the rainy season to end soon so that I can enjoy warm, sunny summer days.
