songs as powerful timemachines for emotions?
i use to forget the songs I listened during shitty times, as if i had never liked those songs. and sometimes the songs i listened when things were going great, later on can remind me that ... "hey! things not going that great anymore!"
I found a version of that Jewish song that i liked. really nice song, but, isn't it a bit sad for a wedding? perhaps more accurate actually haha
"Erev Shel Shoshanim"~ it is my favorite Jewish folk song which reminds me of a quote from the Holy Bible, sth like " My love is like the lily of the valley and the rose of the sharon."
It it a complicated situation. sometimes when you hear an old song again, you cannot remember when or with whom did you first hear it, but it reminded you of the feeling you were having. For example, once I spent about 3 months of time living alone, that of course was a little lonely. And now, whenever I hear the songs I played during that 3 months, I feel lonely and bad.
