I’m wondering if this is a scam; it seems like one. I received the following message “from italki”: “Notification of Mandatory Account Verification To ensure security and verify the authenticity of your information, your account has been sent for mandatory verification. During the verification process, your profile will be temporarily hidden, and access to its functionality will be restricted. To restore access and complete the verification, please fill out the form at the following link: xxxxxx Please note that the verification process may take some time. Once your identity is successfully confirmed, full access to your account will be restored. If you have any questions, please visit the link where you can contact our support team.” I deleted the link so nobody tries it. When I clicked on it, I was taken to a page that explained more about the process, and it seemed okay, but then when I continued, the very next page wanted my bank card number. Not the routing number for my bank and my checking account number (and even then, my payments go through Payoneer, so why would they need that), my actual debit card number. I tried asking italki support about it, but it’s Sunday, and they’re not responding. For whatever it’s worth, I can see my profile.
