One of the strangest superstitions in Iraq is that when you eat the rice that stuck at the bottom of a pot you will get married in a dusty day. Some people like the taste of that rice because it is salty and crunchy. We used to have dust storms and they are so annoying as the cover the surfaces of cars, floors and furnitures.
I remember when my cousin got married, it was so dusty that everyone worried about the cars that were following the bride and groom’s car. They said that it seems that he ate all the rice in the pots😹. But I don’t believe in such superstitions as I have witnessed my brother’s wedding and it was so nice and clear weather despite he used to eat the rice in the rice in the pot’s bottom since he like its taste.
Do you have similar beliefs?

Hi Nada, I won't correct your writing as the other person has done a very good job.
I loved your story - very interesting.
Here in Spain, the popular rice dish, paella, is best when it has a bit stuck to the bottom - not burnt, but crunchy. They call it "chamuscado". There is no superstition about it, but it is delicious!
Regards, Simón.
