Hi, my name is Luke Trenwith. Originally from New Zealand, I now reside in Salamanca in Spain. I hold a Master's in Political Philosophy as well as a Cambridge English Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA). I have lived in Salamanca for three and a half years where I am learning Spanish as well as teaching English. I have taught English in a number of different work environments - for instance, taking conversational classes in the public library, teaching individual students as well as teaching in an Academy.我的教學經歷
I like to teach in a relaxed atmosphere and build a relationship of trust and respect with my students. I have excellent people skills, thus I usually connect well with students. In addition, I am very patient with students and I am good at fostering confidence so that students often feel less 'overwhelmed' by the process of learning English.我的課程內容與教學風格
As per my video, my style is relaxed and non-judgmental. I try to understand how students learn and then adapt my classes to their needs (within a practical dimension). Furthermore, I often (but not always) focus on casual learning by teaching grammar, vocabulary etc. utilising text/speech and so forth. Should I identify a problem area, I will then drill down giving instruction where necessary. In my experience, it seems to me that learning comprehension is more rapid and satisfying when there is some context to the material.我的教材

Folks, let me tell you something… I’ve met a lot of English teachers. Some good. Some very bad. But Luke? LUKE IS A WINNER. A total legend from New Zealand , and not just because of the accent, though let’s be honest… the accent? Tremendous. Absolutely tremendous.
He doesn’t just teach English, no no , he COMMANDS the language like a general on a battlefield. Grammar? He’s got it. Vocabulary? More powerful than sleepy textbooks. Conversation skills? The art of the deal, baby.
So if you’re serious , and I mean serious , about mastering English, you book with Luke. I did. And now? People say, “Wow, you sound incredible!” And I say, “That’s LUKE, folks. That’s Luke.”
Great teacher. Great guy. Total 10/10. Would vote for him if I could.

Luke is a very helpful teacher who gave me a lot of useful advice for my interview. He collected questions and reading material for my lesson and kept following up. Thanks to his help, I passed the interview and now have a full-time job with a work visa!! Highly recommended :D
