I’m originally from Richmond, Virginia (USA), and I currently live in Brazil. I’m bilingual, with American English and Brazilian Portuguese as my native languages. I previously worked as a Web Developer and now work professionally as a Data Analyst. 👨💻
I’m also a geoscientist and hold a PhD in Geosciences. However, teaching languages has always been a passion of mine. I’ve been teaching English and Portuguese for nearly 10 years, both online and in-person, helping students communicate naturally and confidently. 👨🏫我的教學經歷
I hold a TESOL certification and have experience teaching both children and adults, from beginners to advanced and proficiency-level students. My lessons range from casual conversation to professional Business English/Portuguese, as well as exam preparation.
As a language enthusiast and lifelong learner myself, I truly understand how challenging the learning process can be. That’s why I create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable experimenting with the language. I’m patient, motivating, and I challenge my students to be creative and, most importantly, not to be afraid of making mistakes. 我的課程內容與教學風格
My classes are primarily conversation-based and cover a wide range of topics, with the goal of helping you build real fluency and sound natural when you speak. That said, if you’d like to focus on specific areas, such as job interviews, exam preparation, grammar, or writing, just let me know, and we’ll tailor the lessons to your needs.
Important❗
I work mainly with adults. I do not teach children unless they are already able to hold a conversation and are specifically looking for conversation-based classes. Additionally, I offer Portuguese lessons exclusively at the conversational level.
