¡Hola! I’m a native Spanish speaker from the Dominican Republic, where the language dances with our vibrant culture. While I don’t have formal teaching degrees, I’ve successfully guided my British husband from zero to fluency and raised my son bilingual—proof that patience and real-life practice work wonders!
My specialty? Helping learners like you master *conversational* Spanish, especially with a Dominican twist—think colorful expressions, natural flow, and pronunciation that feels like home. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me tending my 150+ orchids (a quiet passion) or cooking up *mangú*—because language, like food, is best shared joyfully.

Whilst I have no formal qualifications in teaching I do have practical experience and have taught both my husband and son Spanish and both are now fluent. I am a community teacher and can help you with your conversation and also your pronunciation. I believe that teacher and student must have a real connection as without it I dont think any student can learn. Trust in someone who is teaching you is so important as it allows the student to relax and be at ease and once that is in place they can learn with no worry about being embarrassed if they make a mistake etc. I am the teacher that will do this. 我的課程內容與教學風格
My style of teaching is very informal and I think that with a more relaxed environment best results will come. I will make use of internet resources as well as Italki and we can read together and have many different conversations about a whole range of topics. This will help not only your range of vocabulary but also your pronunciation. If you do not like to be corrected then I suggest you look for another tutor. I think making mistakes is part of the learning process and therefore it is important that you are told. Being comfortable and having fun whilst you are learning is of paramount importance to me.我的教材
