Ciao! Sono Elena. I'm a qualified teacher from Venice.

My greatest passions: reading books, visiting independent bookshops, watching arthouse movies and taking care of plants.
I'm fluent in English. I lived in England from 2019 until 2023. In 2014 I lived in France as an exchange student, so I speak French, and also some Greek.
5 years’ teaching experience: I’ve volunteered as a
teacher of Italian to refugees in Italy, and I’ve taught Italian in a primary school in
England. Currently, I'm giving lessons to adults of all levels我的教學經歷
I love teaching Italian following the inductive method because it makes the student play an active role in the learning process and doesn't consider them just as an "empty box" to fill with grammar rules.
How I teach:
I engage the student in the lesson in order to guide and support them to find and discover the language by themselves.
Every lesson starts with a different input. This makes the lessons clearly structured with goals to be achieved but also relaxed and spontaneus.
I also aim at getting to know my students well so I understand what motivates them to learn Italian in order to create a study plan based on their interests.我的課程內容與教學風格
My method: as I believe that the learning process is like a "discovery" of a new mindset, I start the lesson with an input (text/image/audio/songs lyrics) which I use to guide my students to "discover" the grammar rules at the base of it.
My students love this method because they feel engaged and not just passive learners. They also feel that learning Italian comes naturally.
During my lessons I love sharing suggestions about Italian culture, literature, cinema and history.
I can teach Italian to any level and if you already have a good level and you just want to practise your speaking skills, let's just base our lessons on conversation!我的教材
