¡Hola! Soy Amarilis, your passionate Spanish teacher from Puebla, México. With a degree in Linguistics and 8 years of experience, I specialize in making Spanish *dynamic* and *culturally rich* for all levels—from beginners to advanced speakers.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me exploring films (in any language!), cooking Mexican dishes, or cuddling my pet Trapecio. Let’s turn your goals into fluent conversations—with patience, tailored methods, and a sprinkle of fun!

I have a degree in Linguistics and Hispanic Literature and I've been a teacher of Spanish for foreigners people for 6 years. Being a teacher give me the opportunity to share with people from many places in the world the cultural and natural wealth of my country.
I teach to kids, adolescents and adults and for each one I use different methods and techniques depending on their needs. During our trial lesson I will evaluate your knowledge of Spanish and thus be able to develop a class plan appropriate to what you need. My classes consist of three parts; 1 grammar (where I will explain and solve any questions you have about the language), 2 conversation (here we will put into practice all the things we learned about rules, vocabulary and expressions), 3 activities (they will be an extra to reaffirm your knowledge). Everything will be focused on making you learn in a dynamic way, at your own pace and specially increasing your confidence to communicate.

I've now had 60 lessons with Amarilys over 1.5 years and I cannot recommend her enough! I look forward to my lessons each week / fortnight and feel like I am supported yet challenged in my lessons. Amarilys gives me homework, asks me questions and keeps my lessons very conversational allowing me to practise my speaking. She is also very patient at explaining grammar to me and I feel like she adapts to my level each lesson. I also feel very lucky that I have developed a lovely friendship with her via our classes and real-life conversations. <3

I have really enjoyed my lessons with Amarilys. She is always happy and I feel very comfortable with her during class. We are always working on the lesson and materials but she integrates conversation practice into it very easily so I always feel like I'm getting extra. Great teacher!

It has been around a year since I started my classes with Amarilys and we've had 119 classes now. Amarilys has helped me a ton in understanding the grammar, acquiring vocabulary, and getting comfortable speaking Spanish even over relatively complicated topics. The materials have always been super useful and the tip sheets are fun to read. I would highly recommend her classes to anyone who is interested in learning Spanish.
