I have studied with Saya Sensei for over a month now. I really appreciate her energy, and how excited she gets when I understand something or try to use it in another context. I feel comfortable asking questions to help with my comprehension, and the pace is very good. I do not feel like I am being rushed, dragged along, or held back. I can highly recommend her as a teacher.

It’s clear she genuinely cares about my progress; she remembers my goals and checks in on them every session. And what really stands out is her encouragement, when I finally get a tricky grammar point right, she celebrates with a big smile and cheers that makes the win feel even better! She also never hesitates when I steer the conversation toward cultural topics—regional food, holidays, pop culture—always finding a way to connect my curiosity back to the language. Just after my first lesson with her, I could tell she's passionate about her teaching. She was so excited whenever I got even the smallest, thing right, was happy to talk about interests that we shared and was very patient when I didn't get something immediately. Recommend her to anyone ^v^

Saya-san is the nicest and most fun teacher to learn Japanese with. She is super patient, we often chat about things we like at the beginning of lessons and she is very creative with exercises. It might be surprising, but she also plays video games! Don’t worry if you are busy while still wanting to learn Japanese, she is also very understanding!
