Friendly, Empathetic English Community Tutor Thank you for visiting my Italki page! My name is Calum, I'm from the southwest of the UK and speak with a standard British accent. I’ve always been passionate about foreign languages, and as a fellow student on Italki, I know how exciting, but also how challenging learning a new language can be. I speak Korean at an intermediate level and have recently started learning Mandarin Chinese and Japanese on Italki too. As a native English speaker, I bring a relaxed, patient, and supportive approach to teaching. While I don't yet have formal qualifications, I focus on helping my students express themselves in a natural and authentic way through conversation. I aim to create a comfortable environment where learners can practice and improve their English skills without pressure, with an emphasis on real-life, conversational language. I believe that the best learning happens when students feel confident and comfortable. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced learner, I will be more than happy to support you. These days I mostly do free talking conversation classes, in the past I have done newspaper reading classes too. I can be very flexible, so please let me know how you would like to learn :)
