Hi! I’m Max, a Canadian-English teacher with a passion for bridging cultures. Born in Chile, raised in Canada, and now based in Chengdu, China, I’ve explored 28+ countries—helping me understand the nuances of learning English in diverse contexts.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me lifting weights, playing soccer or strumming my guitar. My travels and hobbies fuel my lessons with real-world examples, making language learning dynamic and relatable. Let’s turn your goals into conversations!

I speak English and Spanish. My accent is North American/Canadian. I am very patient with students and a good listener. I speak slowly and clearly so that my students can understand me if they're beginners. I enjoy teaching and find it very rewarding when I see students learning new things and growing as English speakers.

My teaching style is relaxed yet thorough, which means my classes are enjoyable, but also very educational. I specialize in teaching intermediate and advanced students. Some of the tools I use in my classes are videos, images and reading material.我的教材

120 Hour TESOL/TEFL Certificate - World TESOL Academy - 2021Had to study and pass exams on 7 modules, including a final exam of 65 questions, where I got 62 correct (95%). This certificate allows me to teach english as a second language, both online and in person.
