Hello! I'm Masa.
Living in different countries helped me connect with people from around the world and opened my heart to new cultures and perspectives.
As someone still learning English, I understand how frustrating it can feel when the words just don't come out — or when you feel nervous about making mistakes.
That's why my lessons are a safe and supportive space where mistakes are always welcome, and you'll often hear me say, "Daijoubu!"
No need to rush or be perfect. We'll go step by step, at your pace.
Let's enjoy learning together and grow your Japanese!

I explain things clearly and patiently, and I focus on teaching practical Japanese you can use in daily life.

Relaxed and friendly—like chatting with a friend.
Talk about travel, hobbies, work, or daily life.
📘 テキスト ＆ ☕️ともだちトーク | Textbook & Free Conversation
We use NHK Easy News, Genki, manga, or your own materials.
We learn grammar and vocabulary, then use them in real conversations right away.

Lessons are flexible: free chat, role-plays, storytelling—whatever helps you learn best.
I can explain in English when necessary, so you don’t have to worry.

Talking with Masa Sensei is great! It always seems like there is tons to talk about but not enough time which is a great feeling to have when talking to someone for an hour. He searched up the new (and strict lol) bike laws for me in Japan prior to the lesson which I thought was very thoughtful! Arigatoo!

Always a fun time talking with Masa sensei. I think if I keep building this habit of speaking Japanese frequently then I will get more comfortable with it even if I'm not great yet. Masa makes this a perfect learning environment for that
