My name's Federica and I'm from Naples, Italy. I have a Master Degree in English and Japanese Language and Literature and I have 2nd level Ditals, certification of competence in teaching Italian as a foreign language. I'm a translator from Japanese and English and an Italian teacher both online and in the classroom. I have also worked as a volunteer with an association arranging free Italian courses for migrants. I teach Italian from beginner to advanced level.
I'm patient, approachable and proactive.
My lessons are focused on speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, but I give mainly importance to conversation because I think the more you speak the more you feel comfortable speaking.
I also know that motivation is essential to learn a language, so I have my students choose their topics of interest and fix their goals.
In this regard, I had the good fortune of taking part in a seminar held by Anthony Mollica creator of "Recreational Linguistics" a method to acquire linguistic and cultural skills through word games and lexical combinations. It inspired me, so I will do my best to make your studying fun and easy!
My lessons are tailored to my student's goals and needs. As for materials I use songs, commercial spots, videos, articles from newspaper and magazines and so on. In other words, with me you learn the authentic Italian! Federica was prepared and kept going back to the exercise when my mind would wonder off. Very focused, asked if it was ok to correct me and then she corrected me in an effective manner. Obviously she has experience teaching and I felt it was the money well spent.
