My name is Jolene and I come from the beautiful country of South Africa. English is my native language, and I can also speak some Afrikaans and a little bit of isiZulu. I am currently studying towards a Bachelors Degree majoring in English and Linguistics, and this will better help me in tutoring in English. I enjoy learning new skills, and have recently started crocheting. I love the outdoors and spend a lot of time taking walks in parks, on the beach, and on nature trails. I love animals and I especially love meeting new people. I enjoy reading, watching series and I love yoga.我的教學經歷
As an iTalki English tutor, I will bring a wealth of personal and professional qualities to my teaching approach, ensuring that every student feels supported and motivated throughout their learning journey. I will bring patience, adaptability, and a personalised approach to my teaching. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can thrive, whether through structured lessons or conversational practice, I am dedicated to helping my students achieve their English language goals. I am a firm believer in the importance of interactive and dynamic lessons. I will use a variety of teaching materials, including flashcards, pictures, articles, and games, to make the lessons interesting and to cater to different learning preferences. These tools help break down complex concepts into manageable chunks, making it easier for students to grasp and retain new information. Beyond the structured lessons, I love incorporating conversational practice into my teaching and engaging in meaningful conversations helps students apply what they have learned in a practical context, improving their fluency and confidence.我的教材
