Hi, I'm jan Lakuse. I started teaching here because I recognized a gap in Toki Pona learning resources with regards to one-on-one web-conferencing instruction and thought I could fill it. Since starting in 2024, I have taught folks completely new to language learning, seasoned language nerds, and even folks who are language teachers themselves! I started my Toki Pona journey in 2019 and now find myself heavily involved in the community. I organize a yearly writing contest, facilitate a community Luka Pona class, am a member of the SPPTA, and contribute wherever I can, on top producing my own creative projects. Here are some things that I do often with my students: - Decipher texts together, providing clarifications about grammar when needed - Practicing translating complex concepts together - Conversational practice with comprehensible input - Lectures about grammar and community history --- My pay-what-you-want model starts at $5.00 USD. Please understand that paying the minimum is perfectly acceptable, no matter your income. I don't do this for the money.
