My lessons are practical, relaxed, and designed just for you whether you're learning for travel, work, or personal interest. You'll build real-world vocabulary, improve your speaking skills, and explore East African culture along the way.
I am Grace, a native Swahili speaker from Kenya. I have a background in counselling and community training, and I love connecting with people through language. Outside of class, I enjoy reading, traveling, exploring different cultures, and cooking Kenyan food which often inspires fun and meaningful conversations in our lessons!

My background in counselling ensures a patient, encouraging environment where you feel supported, understood, and motivated to grow. Mwalimu Grace is an excellent teacher. She is patient, well-prepared and knowledgeable. During the first lesson, she evaluated my level (~B2) and we came up with some plans for future lessons. Today we read a BBC Swahili article together. She had a list of tricky vocabulary from the article to look over prior to reading the article. During the reading, she was very helpful in explaining things I didn't understand. She used both Swahili and English in her explanations as necessary. I highly recommend giving Mwalimu Grace a try.
