In my free time, I enjoy dancing, cooking (and eating!) and playing football. I also love to swim and watch the sunrise over the water at dawn.

I am a deeply engaged and present teacher who focuses on your specific language learning styles and goals to ensure you will make progress efficiently. I aim to bring creativity and enthusiasm into every lesson. For this reason, you can be sure that during our time together, you will not just learn a lot, but also have a great time!
With experience teaching children, teenagers and adults, in both large groups, and small, I am skilled at meeting the needs of different learners, for every stage of their learning journeys. I use a fully student-centered approach and use this as a guiding principle for my teaching. This means, our lessons will be completely adapted to you as an individual learner. There is no set curriculum that I have for every student, since every student is totally different! Instead, I will develop lesson plans based on your expressed goals for learning English and informed by your learning preferences.
My second guiding principle is that if a lesson is enjoyable, it will be more effective. To achieve this, I invest in getting to know you, not just as a student, but as a whole person. We will use real-world material linked to your interests and goals so you can be sure it will be engaging.我的教材

Naturalist FellowAs a naturalist, I taught students from a variety of age groups and abilities – from preschoolers to adults – about the wonders of the natural world. I delivered lessons with a focus on interactive and student-centered activities to public elementary school students while designing and delivering public education programs for multi-age audiences. Often I presented lessons in Spanish and English to enhance understanding for students in mixed-language classes.

Teaching AssistantWhile in college, I was a teaching assistant for an environmental literature course. My role focused on supporting the professor through monitoring student progress during classes, offering review and editorial services outside of class, and contributing to lesson planning decisions.

學士學位 - Biology and Environmental StudiesMy college career was a blend of biology, environmental, education and Spanish classes. With a love for nature, and a passion for sharing my enthusiasm with others, I found my calling in an outdoor education course and have been teaching ever since!
For me, college Spanish courses that focused on text, audio and images from the real world were always the most engaging. I didn't just improve my Spanish skills, but learned the vital ingredients for learning a language effectively.

Education Activities CoordinatorFor two summers, I worked with the Summer Youth Corps program within the Conservation Corps of Minnesota and Iowa. The program emphasized career development for high schoolers through various natural resource projects across public lands in Minnesota. As the Education Activities Coordinator, I was responsible for developing and distributing learning materials to the various crews. Moreover, I managed the progress assessment for skills and knowledge of each member over the course of their term.
