After graduating college, I decided I wanted to gain life experience and travel while teaching English online. I love traveling because of the new perspectives it brings me and trying all the great food around the world! My goal is to become fluent in Spanish and learn salsa dancing while traveling in Latin America.
Eventually, I aspire to earn a master's degree in School Psychology. But first, I hope to gain valuable teaching experience through iTalki to help prepare for my future career.我的教學經歷
I specialize in working with children because I am passionate about youth development and education. As an after-school program leader, I plan and teach curriculums for K-5th graders including arts and crafts, science projects, and physical activities. Though I enjoy leading large groups of students, I love working one-on-one with students because it allows a more personal connection and I can better support their individual needs.
I also volunteer with ENGin Program as an online English teacher for Ukrainian adults. After 3 months, I have helped them improve their pronunciation and grammar, and they report that it is easier to understand and communicate in English in their daily lives. 我的課程內容與教學風格
In my student-centered lessons, I use a variety of class materials and see what works best with each individual student. I always start with an ice-breaker prompt to connect with my students and get them comfortable being themselves in class. For example, if the lesson is about ordering food, I'll have students discuss the question "what is your favorite restaurant?" in small groups, then as a class. It is important that all my students are involved with the discussions, and that the students are talking more than the teacher. So, I don't mind if students are a little noisy during group work!
