Fun and effective Vietnamese teacher with 9 years experience Chào mọi người! I’m Mai, a Northern Vietnamese teacher (yes, with that melodic accent!). With a degree in Vietnamese Studies and 9 years of experience, I’ve helped learners worldwide speak naturally, whether for travel, work, or love of the language. What makes my lessons special? I blend culture, humor, and real-life phrases so you don’t just study Vietnamese, you live it. Many students tell me locals light up when they hear their casual, natural Vietnamese! Plus, I speak English (C2), Spanish (B2), French (B1), Thai (A1) so I understand the challenges of learning a language. One thing I learned is that you study better when you laugh. So let’s make Vietnamese feel easy and fun together! I am extremely passionate about Vietnamese language, culture and history. Teaching Vietnamese not only gives me the chance to share my culture but also to connect with others. I try to teach in an informal, conversational style to provide real-world experience for my students and allow them to learn the language in a natural way. I believe this will instil confidence and a greater depth of knowledge. Kua is very good at designing exercises and lessons that fit your current knowledge level while also tying it into your interests or recent experiences. This style of teaching makes for very natural-feeling lessons that are easy to grasp and retain. She also has a wealth of uncommon knowledge about Vietnamese culture that I didn’t even come across while exploring the country’s museums and historical sites. Even after a short time, her lessons helped make my visit to Vietnam much more enjoyable. 10/10 recommend.
