Angela Munari

If you’re looking to choose an Italian teacher then I’ve found no one better on italki than Angela. The amount of preparation and effort she puts into her lessons is amazing, just watch her intro video here! Each lesson is planned in advance and her use of supporting tools is great. She will work with you to base each lesson around topics that are of interest or importance to you. I find it incredible that even after 7 years of studying Italian and 4 years of studying with Angela that she will still fine tune my pronunciation and guide me through subtle language nuances. Angela’s skill as a tutor is equalled by her genuine personality as a person. I’m so thankful I found her on italki all those years ago.

Angela is a truly excellent teacher - she takes time to get to know you, tailors the lessons to your strengths and development areas, and without fail she makes each lesson interesting, memorable and fun. Before learning with Angela, I'd done a few group classes (including an intensive course in Perugia). When it came to practising speaking, there was never much time in the group to try and improve (particularly for one of the less confident and more reserved people in the group as I often was!) and I was becoming increasingly frustrated that I never seemed to make much progress with the spoken language. This all changed when I started lessons with Angela. I've really improved my confidence and I have much more opportunity to improve in a single lesson than I ever got in a term's worth of classes. If you're in a similar position to me, then I absolutely recommend you start lessons with Angela - you won't regret it!

Angela is a wonderful teacher — professional, experienced, kind, patient, engaging, and genuinely supportive. Another fantastic lesson with Angela. I always learn new words and concepts and have a lot of fun at the same time. Today we did some role play which will come in quite handy on my trip to Italy. She is always patient and she gives good feedback. Un'altra fantastica lezione con Angela. Imparo sempre nuove parole e concetti e mi diverto molto allo stesso tempo. Awesome lesson today with Angela. We discussed in depth one of my favorite movies. I learned new vocabulary and different ways to express my thoughts. I thoroughly enjoyed my time.
