Angela

Angela uses many tools to keep our lessons creative and interesting. They range from visual illustrations to interactive quizzes and games. Every lesson is stimulating and unique.

Angela is a truly excellent teacher - she takes time to get to know you, tailors the lessons to your strengths and development areas, and without fail she makes each lesson interesting, memorable and fun. Before learning with Angela, I'd done a few group classes (including an intensive course in Perugia). When it came to practising speaking, there was never much time in the group to try and improve (particularly for one of the less confident and more reserved people in the group as I often was!) and I was becoming increasingly frustrated that I never seemed to make much progress with the spoken language. This all changed when I started lessons with Angela. I've really improved my confidence and I have much more opportunity to improve in a single lesson than I ever got in a term's worth of classes. If you're in a similar position to me, then I absolutely recommend you start lessons with Angela - you won't regret it!

Angela’s method of teaching is very effective. It allows for enrichment of all language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) at the same time while keeping each lesson enjoyable. I can’t recommend Angela highly enough. Attending language schools helped me learning grammar and vocabulary, but my confidence in speaking never developed. Her one-to-one lessons completely changed that. She encourages you to speak from the very beginning, and as a result my confidence and fluency have grown enormously. Last month on holiday in Venice, I could speak comfortably in shops and restaurants without people switching to English. I wanted to buy a surprise present from a shop that was unexpectedly closed, so I phoned the owner, understood that her bus was running late due to the weather, and agreed to wait. When she arrived, we talked about the frustrations of having to use Venice public transport — and the entire experience was in Italian. A year ago, that would have been completely inconceivable. Thanks to Angela’s teaching, it felt natural and genuinely enjoyable. I’m confident you won’t regret booking lessons with Angela.

Time flies in my lesson with Angela. It is a very enjoyable hour and I always learn something new. I feel my Italian has improved greatly since we started working together.
