Hi, everyone! My name is Marina.
I was born and raised in Japan. When I was 16 years old I studied abroad for six and a half years.
I encountered a lot of cultural differences throughout time, and the experience had a significant influence on my career today.
I LOVE teaching and assisting people who are trying and working hard to achieve their goals. Teaching is as well as my hobby, but I also enjoy reading various types of books, exercising, gardening and making sweets.我的教學經歷
In total, I have been in teaching industries for about 12 years, and I've been teaching Japanese for about 8 years.
My former students often described my classes as "tea room", and I like the fact that my class has had a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere.
However, I am sometimes strict on my students because I believe that encouraging students is my way of expressing respectfulness.我的課程內容與教學風格
I am using original textbooks for the beginner and intermediate classes and I would like to provide customised lessons. Depending on the students' Japanese skills I am always making adjustments to studying plans and there will be revised tests time to time.
And for students who are aiming to take Japanese language exams such as JLPT, I am using GENKI, みんなの日本語 and 日本語総まとめ。我的教材

On my online counselling sessions, I use the approach of Person-centered therapy.
Throughout the past four years experienced different sessions and deepened various knowledge regarding mental health I developed my method of counselling sessions.

Marina-sensei is one of the best teachers I've had! She is very patient and suggests new grammar points to further push my speaking skills. I am very shy when it comes to speaking Japanese, but she makes the conversation feel very relaxed and comfortable and is very encouraging.
