I can help you prepare for Cambridge exams (KEY, PET, FCE, CAE, IELTS) and TOEFL, help your writing, speaking and communication skills as well as help you refine your pronunciation and fluency.
I also offer proofreading services and have experience reviewing and revising scientific papers that have been published in renowned academic journals.
24-hour cancellation policy: If you have to re-schedule the classes, please do so with at least 24 hours advance notice in order to allow other students to reserve a lesson at that time. The following changes will be effective starting on 27th of March:
- The duration of lesson times will now be 25 minutes, 50 minutes, and 80 minutes.
This is in order organize and share materials in a timely manner, take post-lesson notes, and prepare for upcoming lessons.
- Note that the italki system will still show lesson times as 30, 60, and 90 minutes. However, lesson time duration will be as previously described.
- 45 minute classes are no longer available.

Because of the relaxed and communicative focus of the courses, we were able to have fun while learning developing fruitful student-teacher connections, which is my professional objective as an italki teacher.

Instructor and Curriculum Designer for FCE for School Preparation CoursesThis experience will help me guide and engage students who are tasked with taking the FCE for Schools exam (CEFR: B2) because I know how to make the course materials interesting, relevant to the students' context and objectives, authentic, challenging and enjoyable with the creative use of games and activities.

English Language InstructorUniversity teaching demands dedication to the teaching craft, a high degree of professionalism and consistent practice of sound pedagogical approaches to instruction. Teaching at UDEP undoubtedly enriched my understanding of what it means to be a teacher and helped me recognize the challenges that students ages 16-22 face by balancing their studies, work, and personal circumstances. Due to this experience, I know how to maintain teacher autonomy and creatively design entire courses to maximize the students' opportunities to achieve their learning objectives, which carries over well in digital instruction too.

Full-Time InstructorUntil recently I was working at the local university in the city I live in as a full-time language instructor. In addition to the duties as a language instructor to students studying to be language teachers themselves ("Pedagogía de idiomas nacionales y extranjeros) were also to design courses on digital learning platforms, direct theses, revise academic texts, and carry out research projects.

I've been taking lessons with Jonathan for over a year, several times a week, and I genuinely look forward to every lesson! He's both a very good teacher and an interesting person who makes conversations engaging and memorable.
Jonathan has this amazing ability to spark curiosity about topics I might have never explored otherwise. Our discussions are so inspiring that I often dive deeper into subjects after our lessons. He creates such a warm atmosphere that speaking feels completely natural.
He's very attentive to my goals, always asking what I want to focus on and tailoring lessons accordingly. Plus, he maintains a great document with additional materials + words and phrases we encountered during our lessons, which is very useful for review.
