Always a very enjoyable lesson with a mixture of conversation, often on an aspect of italian culture, and a review of a homework grammar exercise. Elena always provides material and conversation at the appropriate level for me, delivered with her engaging personality.

Elena is a fantastic teacher! I have had both structured lessons and informal conversation with Elena. I feel very comfortable with her and not intimidated to speak. She is an experienced professional teacher, with a solid knowledge of grammar and teaching skills. Elena helps me improve my pronunciation. She has a sense of humor, is patient and is also interesting. She frequently explains common uses of words and phrases, not just formal language. She has provided interesting articles to discuss on Italian culture and the arts. At times, I write short "stories" about my life and experiences which Elena will correct with me. I have done homework assignments either with worksheets she provides or with a book I already have. Elena is extremely flexible to my learning goals. You will have fun and improve when studying Italian with Elena!

Elena is clear and kind. I wasn't as prepared as I should have been but she forged on with the material with patience and is motivating me to invest more time before the next lesson. We were able to focus on a topic, but varied the conversation in a "real world" way.
