Hello. I’m Sayuri, a Japanese teacher.

🌼 Things I love : Enjoying quiet time with a coffee, going hiking with my family, travelling, reading, and seeing my children’s faces in the morning
My biggest strength is creating a warm, relaxed atmosphere where it's easy to talk.
Of course, I value teaching correct Japanese, but more than that, I want you to truly enjoy the time we spend together.
Let's not just build knowledge, but also experience the joy of speaking Japanese - just like having a friendly chat over a cup of coffee☕.
我的教學經歷
I have 5 years of experience as a teacher and 2 years as a tutor, with around 1,500 hours of online lessons and I’ve taught students of many different nationalities and age groups so far.
I spent a year in South Korea and seven years in the UK, enjoying the differences in language and culture. Because of that, I truly understand the excitement, the challenges, and sometimes the nerves that come with learning a new language. 我的課程內容與教學風格
My main focus is on everyday conversation, but I also support you preparing for the JLPT or learning useful Japanese for travel and other specific purposes.
I aim to create a relaxed atmosphere where you feel comfortable speaking without fear of making mistakes. I always try to tailor lessons to each learner’s individual goals and pace.

Sayuri Sensei was very kind, encouraging, and an absolute expert at keeping the conversation going. She has a keen sense for when to focus on fluency vs. zeroing in on a error correction or teachable moment. Highly recommend!

In the lesson, we talk about daily activities and review some N3 question. It was really fun, Sayuri sensei is really helpful with the conversation that we had and on explaining the N3 question。ありがとう先生次回のレッスンを楽しみ😊

Since starting conversation classes with Sayuri-sensei my speaking confidence has significantly increased. She prepares interesting topics and questions for me to talk about so our time during the class is well-utilised. The one hour classes pass so quickly! Sayuri-sensei has also provided feedback for each session which is great for tracking progress. Conversation classes with Sayuri-sensei is like having a catch up with a friend, looking forward to the next one!

We focused on studying JLPT N2 grammar. Sayuri Sensei did a great job on explaining the grammar problem that I had. Sayuri Sensei making it easy for me to understand. ありがとう先生☺️
