I have been studying with 胡老师 since July 2022. She is sincerely passionate about teaching Chinese. Our lessons are a combination of using the 博雅汉语 textbook and materials that she personally prepares that cover Chinese culture, history, and various holidays throughout the year. The variety in our lessons is quite enjoyable, and I greatly appreciate the very detailed feedback she provides on my homework assignments as well as spoken language. She not only corrects grammatical mistakes, but also recommends sentence structures that are more closely aligned with how Chinese people actually communicate. I have a long way to go, but 胡老师 is really helping me to get much better. And our lessons are quite fun.

Fascinating class about the Tang dynasty, with lots of helpful visuals and maps. Teacher Hu did a really excellent job talking about the people who were important in Chinese history and how they contributed to making China what it is today.

Another great lesson! Hu 老师 is incredibly meticulous. Can really feel like my Chinese speaking is slowly improving, haha. Looking forward to more lessons with her!

Excellent Teacher. I have been attending classes with her for about 1.5 years, going from appx. HSK 4 level to reading native-level novels. - Always on time and engaged throughout the lesson - Uses all free materials - Willing to lecture on special topics of your choosing, often making custom presentations for them

Would definitely recommend classes with Hu老师! She is very structured in her lessons and incredibly encouraging, and very friendly and cheerful too. She keeps an ear out for any mistakes in pronunciation and will very diligently correct you, and will ensure that you are able to get it right. I hope to be able to continue with more classes with her!
