Ever since I was a kid, I've been fascinated by words. I studied linguistics at university and have been learning French on and off since I was eight. While completing my Master's of Education in Adult Learning and Global Change, I began to learn other languages too and discovered italki.
Since I'm a language learner I understand the struggles and thrills of communicating in a new language. My core target languages are French, Arabic, and Irish. I'm also learning Russian and Spanish.
My other interests include reading, painting (watercolours), listening to music, yoga, the environment, and politics.我的教學經歷
As a learner myself, I know language acquisition is difficult if you can't find a way to practice with fluent speakers. I've been speaking English my whole life and am happy to share that with you!
My Undergraduate degree is in Linguistics and I have a Master's of Education in Adult Learning. I love learning languages as much as I love helping others perfect their English. I've also recently completed a Master's of Education so I have a strong understanding of learning theories.
Due to my background in studying English at a deep level, I have a large vocabulary and a good grasp of grammar, so I can help you with both.我的課程內容與教學風格
Each lesson will be designed around you. In our first conversation we can learn a bit about one another and I will ask about what you hope to achieve through our lessons. You can specify a topic or I can provide one. We can read articles together and discuss them, or just talk about the weather. Whatever will keep the words coming for you!
I will also provide gentle feedback. I may make notes during our lesson so you can practice. If you like, I can also provide 'homework' - some reading on a topic, for example, to discuss in our next lesson. I will also record a vocabulary list if you struggle with the pronunciation of certain words.我的教材

2006 - 2009
學士學位 - English Language and Linguistics/PhilosophyI studied a joint honours degree in Linguistics and Philosophy. I obtained the highest grade possible.
2017 - 2019
碩士 - Adult Learning and Global ChangeI studied through an international course (4 universities working together). We studied the theories and concepts around adult learning with a focus on the impact of globalisation on international pedagogical concepts. I also learnt how to construct, carry out, and evaluate lessons.

Manager of Performance Coaching and DevelopmentI manage the performance and training of ~80 sales and account development representatives in a large financial organisation. In addition, I train all new hires to the department.
