Hello my name is Mark and I'm from London. I am currently studying for a PhD in Geography. I love meeting new people and exploring new places and cultures.我的教學經歷
I have over six years experience teaching in Taiwan, England and Spain.
I have taught people from all over the world, including Chinese, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Korean and Russian speakers.
I love talking to new people, and enjoy learning about other cultures and helping others learn about mine. I have taught IELTS preparation classes, conversation classes and writing skills classes.

I have experience teaching everything from absolute beginners to advanced English speakers. I am a flexible teacher and can adapt my lessons to suit your needs. If you want to focus on English relevant to your studies or job we can do that. If you are simply looking to improve your spoken English I will organise conversation classes. If you are looking to improve your writing skills I can also help with that. I will always make sure we work on the areas you find weak, and focus on the vocabulary that suits your needs.我的教材

CELTA - Concorde International - 2019To get this Cambridge English language teaching certificate I had to pass a intensive month of assessments during which I learned various strategies to teach English as a foreign language.

English language AssistantIn practice I was trusted from the start to organise and run classes for 10-20 pupils at a time on my own as well as supervise school trips. I received excellent feedback, quickly becoming “a respected and valuable member of the teaching team” (The School’s Head of English). While teaching at Puig Adam I developed my teaching skills, both as a teacher on my own and as an assistant supporting one of the schools English teachers.
2017 - 2017
English TeacherAt KSE I expanded my teaching ability. KSE gave me ample opportunity to do this, because we taught different classes every day, of quite different levels of English and usually from a variety of nationalities.
2017 - 2018
English TeacherI taught a number of different age ranges from 6-year olds to 18-year olds. In addition, I worked at two high schools, The Taoyuan Municipal Wu-Ling Senior High School once a week for two hours and Taoyuan Municipal Yung-Feng High School once a week for four hours. My role here was as a supplementary spoken English teacher for which I was responsible for creating my own material.

Such a nice gentleman, I had a great time with him, it feels like talking to a long time friend, polite, talkative and has many questions to ask, maybe I might get a second lesson or even more, 1000% recommended.

I shared with Mark my interest in poem so he had a nice idea of using poems as learning material. We shared 2 poems in this lesson and it’s so fruitful and meaningful! Mark is knowledgeable and good at English literature so he facilitated me to have lots of deep learning and reflections. He has great openness which welcomed my thoughts and I got inspired by his feedback. It’s a lesson of practising grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary and sentence learning, as well as English literature.
Thank you Mark, for being so veritable and accommodating. Your English class brings me energy in such a winter weather.
Looking forward to our next class.
