Hi there, my name is Mayumi. I am a native Japanese speaker from Yamaguchi, Japan. I love meeting new people and learning their culture/languages. I'm also interested in Tahitian dance which is traditional dance in Tahiti. I used to live in Canada and traveled around the world. When I was in Canada, I had experience supporting to teach Japanese at local Japanese language school.
- have an Elementary School English Teaching License (J-shine)
- completed the prescribed Program in Teaching English to Young Children at SGIC

I believe that the fastest way to learn languages is using everyday what you learned. If you want to learn with some fun, here I am!! I am an easy-going and a good listener. I've been learning English since I was a kid so I understand how difficult learning other languages can be. I'm happy to help you with each step of the learning process. I can correct you through conversation.

2. Reading class (Temporarily closed)
You can practice reading newspapers, articles or books whatever you like.
3. Business Japanese (Temporarily closed)
There is currently no class setting, but you can practice your interview.

Today I practiced interview with Mayumi san. She is very passionate and kind, and she prepared a lot of questions to help me with the interview. Really appreciated for her help! I highly recommend her lesson!

Mayumi was a very good conversationalist. I appreciated that she gave me time to think when I was struggling to put a sentence together and then she would rephrase what I wanted to say to make it sound more natural. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to practice their Japanese in a low stress and encouraging environment.
