Born in Canada, and fully fluent in English (C2 level) and French, I’ve lived in Hungary (2000-05), Monaco, Italy, Mexico, Spain (2013-23), and Antigua (2023-24), and I enjoy new challenges—sailing, hiking, and building my own house.
I’ve studied eight languages myself, so I understand the frustrations learners face. I began teaching French in 2017 at a university near Barcelona with 120 students and have since worked with doctors, engineers, expats, NGOs, researchers, and businesses...
Supportive and adaptable, I adjust each lesson to your goals and style, offering clear explanations, structured courses, and insights into both Canadian & European French.

My current fee is at a discount.
At 6,000 lessons, my fee will be: $40 USD/hour
At 6,500 lessons, my fee will be: $45 USD/hour
At 7,000 lessons, my fee will be: $50 USD/hour

- I don’t teach French to minors (less than 18 years of age)
- I need to leave the lesson at the end time in order to not be late for the next one.
If you have any pressing questions, please begin with them.
📌The cancellation policy :
If needed, please reschedule the lesson at least 24 hours in advance.
If not, the lesson will be considered completed & paid.
📌The late policy :
I will wait for you for the first 15 minutes of the lesson.

Une autre belle leçon avec François! C'est mon professeur préféré sur iTalki. Il prend toujours le temps d'expliquer les concepts, il m'explique quand je ne connais pas un mot ou une phrase, et il a plusieurs des activités qu'il peut proposer à faire pendant nos leçons. François continues to make me feel comfortable during lessons while providing great explanations and content that is just challenging enough that I learn some new vocabulary and grammar while building on my foundation. François is open to suggestions on how you want your lesson to go and is ready to provide you with a lesson that is purely speaking in French on the fly to structured lessons with activities and grammar/vocabulary. He is always open to feedback and that makes him a great teacher. I will continue my lessons with him and it’s something I look forward to every week. 10/10 recommend him! Merci François!
