Hello! My name is Berwyn and I am a TEFL certified teacher (120 hour TEFL course, completed in 2020) who is fluent in English and Welsh. I am excited to help you improve your language skills! I grew up in North Wales (It's beautiful) and currently live in Birmingham, in the West Midlands of England (It's OK!) I am a trained actor with a degree in Acting! My main hobbies include football, film and music. I absolutely love Star Wars! I also have a big interest in Radio and have been a Radio Presenter in Wales and am currently working on a new exciting Podcast Series!我的教學經歷
I completed a 120 hour TEFL course in 2020. I have also taught children from the ages of five to eighteen in Acting and English speech. I love this work as it is incredibly rewarding and allows me to help young minds develop! I ran a youth club for High School Children for a year and I love using this to help make people's day a little bit brighter! Also, I have tutored teenagers for their English GCSE exams and I am currently running a Performing Arts Club at my Church! My teaching experience has allowed me to understand the best techniques and styles. I am so grateful to my time spent as a teacher as it has given me experience and knowledge that has continued to help me. 我的課程內容與教學風格
I believe people are learning the most when they're having fun. I want my lessons to be easy, casual and a place where you can make mistakes and feel no pressure to get things right straight away. I would love to use skills as an actor to help you act out any scenario, like going to the shops, a job interview or ordering a meal at a restaurant! I have experience with being a radio presenter so I love talking to people, and I love having interesting conversations with people, because then, you don't feel like you're even learning! Berwyn is an amazing teacher, he is so detail oriented and helpful with his feedback and thereby has help me improve my British English skills a lot! His feedback is always on point and each and every lesson is 100% tailored to my needs and requirements. On top of that he's a genuinely great lad, with a great sense of humour and it is always fun to talk with him. I haven't seen him in a bad mood or impatient ever! For me, he's the best male teacher on italki! I couldn't recommend him more (except if you are specifically looking for a teacher with an American accent)!

One of the most important thing when you are looking for a teacher on italki is to have good chemistry. It's not about their knowledge or about the certificates they have. I feel that my english knowledge increases every time I attend a new lesson with Berwyn. I strongly recommend him.

It's been a year since I finally mustered the courage to sign up for a trial lesson, and honestly, it was one of the best decisions I've made. Berwyn is such a great teacher—encouraging, always cheerful, always positive. Without even realizing it, I lost my fear of speaking Welsh: of making mistakes, of feeling silly. Now I just enjoy the time I get to try speaking and learning. I honestly can’t recommend Berwyn enough as a teacher. If you’re still hesitating, just give it a try!

One of my favorite things in the world is taking lessons with Berwyn. I look forward to them even when I schedule them at silly hours for me like 3am or 4am or 11pm since I am across the world from him. The lessons are always enjoyable, very chill/no pressure, highly personalized, and paced in ways that make learning enjoyable and interesting.
