I’ve been having classes with Hugo now for almost a year. I really enjoy our classes and the structure. It usually starts with some conversation, exercises and lastly we go over vocabulary and mistakes. He is currently helping me prepare for the DELE C1. Definitely recommend as a teacher.

As a PhD student from the University of Cambridge, my expectations (regarding the methods of teaching, the material employed, and the interaction with the teacher) are usually quite high when I start learning a new language. Hugo not only lift up to these expectations, but, at times, exceeded them. I started Spanish with no knowledge of the language whatsoever and, after only 10 classes, I was able to both write my first short texts and offer full-fledged answers to his questions. Apart from that, every class feels more like a meeting with a good friend, which undoubtedly changes the whole experience for the better. Needless to say at this point, I wholeheartedly recommend Hugo as a Spanish teacher!

Hugo is an excellent Spanish teacher who meets his students where they are at on their language development. He is easygoing, intellectual, and mindful, y si quieres mejorar tu español, Hugo te ayudará amablemente.

The lessons with Hugo are very pleasant. He takes the time and explains clearly. He gives a lot of room for me to practice with speaking during the lesson. He provides exercises to practice grammar in my own time, which he corrects and explains where needed during the lesson. Would recommend!

I highly recommend Hugo! My classes with him are always extremely enjoyable. A big part of it is conversation - which is what I need and look for. We talk about anything and everything, as I would with a friend, except that by the end of the class he points out the errors I made and writes them on a document we share, so I can learn from them. The class also includes exercises with worksheets on particular issues that I struggle with, which we usually start together in class. I then finish them on my own and we go over them in the next class, which seems an efficient and useful use of our time together.
