Hello there, I'm Daniel, a professional English teacher with bags of experience with many students over many years. I adore making real connections with others, building a relationship and building students' confidence with the English language. I live in an off-grid eco house in France which I built with my wife. Gardening is also a favourite hobby of mine, along with running and yoga. I follow a plant-based diet and am passionate about well being. These themes often occur during the deep conversations I enjoy with students. I believe that a solid connection based on mutual understanding is key for creating an enjoyable, relaxing teaching environment. In fact, I am sure that if you are not relaxed, you can't learn! I will send my students materials before each class, including a video, some pictures and an article. This helps you prepare for the topic and get your brain switched into 'English mode'. My classes are organic and natural, I will aim for a particular topic, but if the conversation goes in a different direction, no worries. I will take every opportunity to introduce new language, work on some persistent mistakes and encourage expression and fluency. I am certain that language cannot be learned like other subjects. Your brain has already learned your mother tongue to fluency, and I guess you didn't use textbooks, take exams or feel stressed! So, my pedagogy is based on this belief.
